How to Check SBI loan status
The State Bank of India (SBI) is the largest bank of India, with services both in India and abroad. It is totally govt. administered public sector commercial bank. It has the largest number of branches, capital, employees, etc with respect to other banks in India. It is also in the list of Fortune 500 companies. It emerged in 1806 as Bank of Calcutta. Then it became Imperial Bank of India. In 1955, it became the State Bank of India. SBI has more than 13,000 branches spread all over India. It has its main branch in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It has also marked its presence in abroad countries also.
It is the biggest share holder in the banking sector. It is regulated under two bodies. One is Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the other is Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). It is totally undertaken and administered by the Govt. of India. It provides a wide range of banking services like Personal banking, corporate banking, NRI services, International banking, agricultural banking, treasury, Govt. business, etc. It has the largest network of ATMs in India. It has also its services given through Mobile Banking and Internet Banking.
SBI offers a wide range of loans such as home loan, car loan, two wheeler loan, personal loan, educational loan, business loan, loan against property, gold loan etc. SBI gives loans at quiet competitive market rate. Loans can be availed by any existing customer of the bank.
The entire process of applying for the loan is kept very simple and user friendly. Every loan has different interest rates which are compounded annually. The amount of loan that can be sanctioned is determined by the loan officer according to the borrower’s income and his/ her ability to repay it.
There is always a tenure fixed within which the loan shall be repaid. The general documents required for applying loan are identity proof, address proof, salary statement, photo copy, etc. SBI opens a loan account which the customer can handle either from SBI branch or from his own home through internet.
The status of loan can be checked at any point of time. To check the status, customer has to log on to the official website of SBI and open the page: https://www.sbi.co.in/user.htm?action=sbilosstatus.
Here the type of loan is to be selected, loan application ID is to be given, date of birth is to be entered and finally a string image is to be put which will be there itself. Then press the SUBMIT button to check the loan status. For further help one can always contact the loan officer and ask for assistance.
