The government has planned to instrument the Pahal (Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme) in LPG from 1st of January, 2015 across many districts in India. Under this scheme for the first three months (i.e. from 1st of January, 2015 till 31st of March, 2015) a consumer whether he has registered or not registered will receive the LPG gas supply or LPG cylinders at subsidy rates. Moreover, whoever has already registered themselves by linking the Aadhar number will be benefited with advance subsidy (cash) that will be directly credited to their linked bank account. This advance amount is a fixed amount that has been decided by the government for one financial year.
From 1st of April, 2015 the LPG gas connection will be available only at market rate. The customers who have subscribed under the DBTL scheme and have linked their Aadhar number/bank account number will receive the subsidy amount directly in their bank account. Though those who fail to link their bank account till 1st of April, 2015 will be given a grace period of three months. For these three months their subsidy amount will be parked (accumulated). This amount will be credited directly to their bank account if they link their Aadhar number within the next three months i.e. they need to link the LPG identification number to their Aadhar number or bank account number before 30th of June, 2015.
Last date for Pahal DBTL scheme to get LPG subsidy is 31st March 2015
This date is applicable to all the districts where the scheme will roll out from 1st January and this will exclude the 54 districts where the scheme has started from 15th November 2014.
Last date for these 54 districts is 15th May 2015. You can check the list of 54 districts here.

The customers with Aadhar cards can immediately approach the LPG gas distributors and their banks to link the LPG identification number. Many LPG distributors have made facilities in different districts to ensure that the consumers can join this scheme without much difficulty.
